basically you get a plugin that you install with your mp3 playing software. it then tracks everything you listen to and reports it to the page. it creates weekly charts for you of what you listened to that week and recommends new music to you based on what you already like. there's also a community, with groups and forums and stuff. i have found SO MANY good bands through recommendations on there.
