Hey! I'm Kens, an 19 year old photographer who is passionate and serious about portrait photography in the natural light. It's been almost 2 years since I really got into photography and received my first DSLR. I became interested in editing photos and created my own graphics when I was 10. I taught myself how to use HTML coding for websites, although I'm not the worlds greatest coder, it helped me code my photography website. Who knew that because of those starting interests, I would fall in love with photography and those skills would be beneficial to my photography career. Everyday offers a new opportunity to improve my skills. I recently started up my own photography business in hopes of supporting this expensive hobby, as well as gain experience. I have many ideas I wish to photograph, but haven't had the chance to because I'm hoping to find someone serious about modeling(lol.) If you like my photography, please like/ join my circle:

England (not as in 'New' -- as in Europe)
I'm just a bit fascinated with your time zones at the moment (I'm sure it's totally normal for you guys).
So out of people who have told me what US zone they are in (without exploding at their computers when I asked them) you are the second on Eastern Time.
I should offer a prize to the first person found on the elusive Mountain Time. Maybe those guys have mountains but no computers.
Nice to talk, and I hope to talk soon.

I'm sure this sounds stupid, but you said England not new england. What's that difference? Yeah i think there are only 3 time zones in the U.S. so you can meet someone from each lmao, not too difficult. Obviously i think the eastern and western coast are more popular just cause of NY and CA. I'm clueless o_o..?

Sorry. I meant England as in the UK. Ignore my New England reference -- crap joke.
All it was, was that I was looking where people on DA are located. I don't work mornings so I am usually awake about this time, so I count back in time to give me an idea what time of day it is. So I go...
Eastern -5 Hrs
Central -6 Hrs
Mountain -7 Hrs
Pacific -8 Hrs
So when I heard of you I had "a bee in my bonnet" about time.
Phew! How formal and school-like (and boring)... Pretty dragons below to liven things up...
I hope you are well.

Ahh i see . I bet that's good for the brain. I had to add and subtract numbers in Spanish class... that was a brain workout for me. (I'm really bad at math, so my brain was like on overdrive LOL.)
Aww that's cute :3

Hehe. Yes, there are VAST countries, and I'm not in one of them. USA is BIG. Canada is BIGGER but with only a few people!
So in the US, when you put the national news on, do you guys get the news for the whole of the USA, or just your state or both?
Oh! And are you in New York?

openreflections In reply to Aderes-Devorah [2013-03-08 02:36:19 +0000 UTC]
Mmm well i dont watch tv haha. But usually its just like mini stations. Like a small region in states im guessing. I live on an island so they give the weather/local news for the entire island. Upstate NY has its own mini station. Theres also fox and cnn? that's national i think? Local stations have national news too but only for big news like presidential elections etc. I'm guessing that this applies everywhere though?
Yup im from NY , how'd ya know?

Yay! Oh, I didn't know. But I am coming across there at some point. Since a kid I have LOVED The Giants!
Give me the first letter of the island you are on and I'll guess where you are.
By the way, I am not a stalker or anything. I just mention it because I asked somebody their Birthday a few weeks ago and they went a bit weird, like I would care enough to travel 3000 odd miles and hatch some kind of awful plan of hate.
Maybe it's a youth thing? I dunno...

Oh to NY? Wow that's cool, im assuming the city? I'm not much of a sports fan .
L lol
haha i don't think its that weird, but maybe if you asked me the city i live in or even my house xD. But i'm an exception i think, i just like my privacy

Aderes-Devorah In reply to openreflections [2013-03-23 22:10:27 +0000 UTC]
Hehe. Yeah, NY is on my list of "If I had the money..." locations.
I'm not a "sports person" either, but there are things about American Football (as we call it) that make me go radical.
Some people are just a bit weird. I suppose it depends on what you class as private. With some people, if they mention something about their birthday, and you say, "Oh, when was it and did you do anything nice?" the reaction you get is like, "Yeah, but, oh, but, no, but, wah! don't use it against me! wah! but, yeah, but! lol, but, omg, but"
Basically:

Haha you mean with money? Say if someone spent a lot of money for their birthday or wedding, people feel like they have to hide the fact they spent a lot? I'm kind of that way. If someone asked how much my camera is or how much i spent on something that was obviously expensive, i feel people judge me. Or i just think that they might feel offended, that they can't afford it. Something along those lines. OR maybe i'm just a "sensitive" person . Too many theories, who knows.
I want to travel too, but i have other dreams i'd rank higher like getting married, kids, love, happiness . So in a sense, i could live without traveling. Just build me a comfortable home and i'm set for life.

Aderes-Devorah In reply to openreflections [2013-03-24 01:17:36 +0000 UTC]
Hehe. Your dreams are kind of the antithesis of mine! I'd go traveling to avoid marriage and kids!
Maybe I'm being harsh on the old bullet-train to Commitments-ville... Maybe I am running from something else? Something internal?! Something in the mind?! Argh!
(sits on my own couch and looks up at therapy version of myself)
I know what you mean about cash / possessions. If you save for something you really want (like I do all the time) then buy it, and someone wants to know the financial details, I tell them, but I hate it when I get a "Oh look at me Mr. Money Bags!" face staring back at me. I am like, "Well you asked!" Besides, there's nothing wrong with saving and then spending on yourself or loved ones.
GLaDOS says, "SPENDING IS COOL!"

Nah, not everyone wants to marry and commit lol. There's nothing wrong with that. But ever since i was a youngin, i never wanted to grow up. But now all i want is to find love in life haha. But apparently not everyone agrees with my view on life. Some just want to work hard at their job and deal with love later on, or party and be a bachelor for the rest of their life. Or they just gave up on love in general. The giving up part is sad imo, everyone deserves to find love and be loved, not think of it as a business deal. I guess im just very old fashioned and reserved or something.
Yeah of course. Everyone spends their money differently. So when one person spends a lot in one area compared to what the avg person does, people think that you must be rich or something haha.

Aderes-Devorah In reply to openreflections [2013-03-25 11:51:30 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. Totally agree with the depends on what you buy logic. A bit like a guy driving past in a Porsche -- everyone says, "Wow! Money bags!". But they don't realise that chasing his Porsche is a long line of creditors and his freakin' bank manager...
Love is essentially security, and there is nothing wrong with that. Lust is excitement, and there is nothing wrong with that either. When people start labeling things and saying that one has to come before the other (and blah, blah, blah) it totally pisses me off. Like any one person has the knowledge/experience/intelligence/right to start waxing morality with anybody else. Some individuals need to get off their soap boxes and just belt up.
In my experience, if you want love... you won't get it. When you have it, or don't want it... you find yourself with Mary Elizabeth Winstead look-a-likes gobbling on your ears.
When it all gets a bit too much I just go shopping. There's nothing better than walking into a store, seeing something great, then going to the guy at the counter...
"Sir! I love your (product)! I'll take eleven of them, now!"

Damn, YES!! Such a sad world we live in aye? Apparently lots of people are in debt, but it's so hard to believe because lots of people are deceiving and living such a "luxurious lifestyle" LOL. I can't believe it myself. Makes you wonder what people sell to gain material things.
I'm so confused, haha what?? Mmm i think everyone is living and following a spiritual path lmao. We may decide things for ourselves, but when we sit back and watch and don't concern ourselves, there is someone out there. We meet people and go through life lessons, it's all apart of a plan and fate. I'm a hopeless romantic sigh... i believe someone will come their way and be the perfect "one" for me. Of course there are many, but i must encounter at least one "one" in a lifetime xD. Thats my only wish before i die...what has kept me alive for so long and gave purpose to my life. So sad.
Actually i've been practicing "mercy", well at least trying to. So even though my ideas have changed with lust and stuff, i guess i'm more open to it and accepting of others. It's kind of hard to not be as judgmental, even though it somewhat goes against my beliefs and what i would do. I'm very "reserved" LOL. But yeah everyone experiences lust and there shouldn't be anything wrong with that, or finding love for security. And who would have thought i'd be more accepting of smokers LOL (that took like 15 years.) Now marrying a smoker or being best friends with one would be extremely hard to do for me . I do have smoker friends, they are awesome, but being around a smoker and inhaling the smoke 24/7 would be too much for me, eventually i'd be their secret enemy D:. I guess that's something i have to work on :/.
I think everyone gets love and deserves it. It may be for but a short time, and or you might be the only one to love a person, but there is and was love there at some point. I don't regret loving my ex. I'm glad even though he never "loved" me, at least i was able to love someone else and experience it even if it wasn't genuine and one sided.
Oh Mary Elizabeth Winstead looks pretty. Are you talking about sex workers?? LOL i dont understand.

Aderes-Devorah In reply to openreflections [2013-04-19 22:24:01 +0000 UTC]
Hehe. Sex workers. I love that name. It makes 'em sound so cute! Like, "There go the sex workers. They're getting off the bus"
No, I was just saying that a person at peace with themselves just has this kind of harmony about them, whether they are single or not. But if they are single and desperate not to be, they just stink of it, and it's like "Welcome to Spinsterhood!"
I was just after a fit lady (UK fit = attractive) so I chose Mary Eliz Wins. I suppose if they (workers) were paid they could do the ear thing, but most people would want them elsewhere. <<<<< CRUDE ALERT! >>>>>
Hehe. I used to smoke like a chimney, but it was when we all went out drinking. Now that is all out of my system I don't booze much, and haven't smoked in about 10 years. I'd love to say that "It was a struggle!" but I just stopped.
I've loved two women, but they were both years ago. The weird thing about being with somebody is, you have to give something away. I want to give my soul away to somebody but not yet -- that is why I am fine with the losses of love. I can't give up an ounce of myself for a while yet. Maybe when I do, there will be nobody there. It's an odd position compared to others. But it is what it is.
