# About me
My name is Mike Carr and I shoot (primarily) composite panoramics, HDR's, long exposures, and action portraits (primarily children). I am often inspired by my wife *piebald111 who takes me to many picturesque venues.# Comments

Thanks for the welcome. The wording of the message does make me smile of course as I have been a resident of BC since birth, but I know what you mean

Thank you for the fav and the comment - the pic is part of college exam work, and after attempting photocollages, I now know why the rest of the class avoided that theme! That is probably my 6th or 7th attempt at the technique - and I still have a long way to go, lol!

Hiya - thanks for the comment on 'A place to rest' Skies were just an awful grey when that was taken - used a circular polariser, and did try a mess with it on photoshop, and couldn't do a thing with the sky, sadly
Tried to take a look at the link you sent, and it wouldn't work for me!

Hrm... stupid deviantart. Try [link] which is the link that DA generates.
Yeah, *piebald111 and I are big fans for what it's worth. Thoroughly enjoy the photos!

Thank you
And I really like that photo - link worked this time, lol - I have a 'thing' about the way natural light can hit aspects of the landscape, and I like the way you've captured it in that photograph - and the contrast it gives between the really warm tones of where the light hits, and the cold snow in the rest of the picture, is really nice

Thanks for the Fav and the comment on The Big WeirTook dozen of photographs at that spot, trying to get the effect I wanted - and at that point, the sky went 're storm bright' - that very bright, almost 'hard' light you get before a downpour - so between that, my trusty tripod and a 2 second delay, lol, I got very lucky with that pic
Got very soaked on the way out of the woods back to the car afterwards, too!
