I'm glad you like my stuff! I think you are doing great with your shapes and poses for your characters, they feel lively, have weight and look clean and detailed.
My "strength" is more on the painting side since I'm more used to colouring than drawing, but seeing arts like your late Feel Good pieces for example always makes me want to scratch that itch that is drawing characters with thought-through poses and details. Just need to convince myself and try, I guess!

I had an instructor comment once that, while my lines were nice, it seemed like i didnβt think in terms of shapes, so Iβve been trying really hard to improve on that - but just doing lineart sketches is always the most satisfying thing for me because then thereβs no more obligation to the piece unless you actively decide to come back to it later. XD So if you want to get an idea out and just be done with it, I would very highly recommend sketching just to sketch, even without an end goal!
I donβt plan things out much beyond thinking βAwh, it would be kind of cool if the character were set up this way or doing this...,β but Iβm trying to make an effort with regards to gestures. I developed a bad habit of drawing poses that said nothing about the character. Now, I want what theyβre doing or how theyβre posed to SAY something. Nothing for its own sake! Give βem a reason!

Twice that I can remember, but I think that was years ago! It was a really good solution to the whole "artsy programs are expensive" dilemma and I'd be willing to bet it's improved since I last saw what it was like. I think any program, as long as you can make new layers with it, works pretty well if you're willing to play around with it some!
