Your artwork reminds me very much of the cartoon sections of Pink Floyd's The Wall, which is great because I always wished there had been a thousand times more of that poignant surrealistic work. I think I've spotted a few references to Alice in Wonderland, which is also amazing because I've always kind of toyed with a somewhat darker interpretation of that idea in my mind, but it seems this has been swept under the rug by the... Disney... version.

Thanks, man! I'm glad that you like it. My stuff on here spans quite a time period, so some of it's pretty old. The unknowable liminality of the dreamscape is one of my main preoccupations, so naturally, Carroll's Alice in Wonderland undoubtedly helped shape that interest. Likewise, I will admit that Gerald Scarfe imparted some influence when I watched The Wall. I enjoy psychedelic and introspective artwork, and surrealism is the serious older brother of psychedelic artwork . . . Dali and Bosch are my heroes. Haha, I don't even know what I'm getting at, now. Anyways, thanks for the comment. Few people are so thoughtful.

We all change and evolve over time, but it is our... Influences along the road that are important to who we are. Just recently, I'm reading some of the work of H.P. Lovecraft and I find it perfectly delightful!

My life is had it's ups and downs. I was living out in Victoria for a time since I joined the navy until I got sick out there and had to be taken home. (I'm better now... sorta.) Doctors and Nurses in BC are nice. (You can get most of the story in my Journal marked Lupus.)

yeah the top-hat and monocle seemed new to me. I've always wanted to do one of those kind of story animations, you know, where it shows one person's face and then some dialogue, then another person's face and some dialogue... goes back and forth and loops? Dunno how though.

Hey i work with your Cousin Richard..he is a cool cat..and he told me to check your work out. Your stuff is aces. If you have any doubts about being a pro artist you shouldn't..you are on the right path. Your work is very strong..especially for your age( but regardless of age it's still great!)
