# About me
Photography has always been a hobby which I have treated with some passion. To me, the camera is an extension of myself, not merely a tool and means to an end. Through my images, you see through my eyes and my heart. My goal is to recreate, for you, the same impressions and emotions I experience when viewing the world around us, to emphasize that there truly is a difference between looking and seeing.
I am a father of two of the most beautiful and bright children that tread on Earth. I am husband to my soul mate and best friend, Katie. I attend school full time at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am a Navy veteran. Aside from photography my life joys include spending time with my family, music, carpentry, sculpture, SCUBA diving, brewing and partaking, camping and hiking, waxing philosophical, and a great many of life's other experiences that generally prove to enhance me intellectually, culturally, and in character and being.

I was on deployment actually. My ship was on a policing action that took us back and forth between the Mediterranean and the whole west coast of Africa. Never saw any pirates though, they're mostly on the eastern coast. We did take part in a lot of humanitarian aid though.
