yeah they are I had a great dane X neopolitan mastiff & I was the only 1 who had any control over her she was about 1 metre at the shoulder & she would lay on my lap with her legs in the air like a dead fly BUT with anyone else she was a big mouth full of teeth

you're welcome, I love your work and I meant to comment a few things as well but things have been pretty hectic. I normally don't without leaving a comment as to why, but I had planned on getting to it eventually.

Its cool. I see that you have had alot on your plate. Sorry to hear about your companions departure from this world. Pain is a hell of a thing and time really does heal wounds... but sometimes it just takes forever. *sigh*

that it does, it's been over a year since Salem passedd but I don't think I will ever really get over it. I still think of her every day. One of my ratties passed in March this year and that was also very hard on me. I don't deal with that kind of thing very well. Add those stresses to overworking and stupid wisdom teeth operation and recovery. *faint*
(I'm just a big wuss)

Holy shit.. you got alot going on. I have to have my wisdom teeth removed as well. I am not looking forward to it. It scares the hell out of me. But it must be done. I dont know what losing a lifelong companion would do to me as I do not have any, but I can only imagine the hurt I would feel. I do hope you will be okay though. What do you do for a living?

Ugh It was an extremely unpleasant thing having mine removed. I had to have a general anaesthetic and I've never had that before so I was scared out of my wits. It's still really tender. (almost two weeks after) I'll live though, I'm just playing the sympathy vote with the bf over it.
My pets are my children (as I have no actual children) and they are treated just as I would a valued member of my family. The emptyness I felt when Salem passed wasn't describable, and I wouldn't wish it on anybody. With Cocoa (my ratty) I nursed her for two weeks, hand feeding (and watering) her, but in the end it turned out she had a pituitary tumor, inoperable, and she passed one morning when it looked like she was on the improve. having a slight amount of hope (even though in my heart I really knew she wasn't actually going to recover)just before she passed made it worse almost. All I know is I did everything I could to make it better for her in her last days. Unfortunately ratties don't have very long lifespans, so by taking them into my life I open myself up for the heartbreak, but I must say, they are amazing little critters and they are worth it.
My job? I work on an insect farm.

heh, yeah, it's different I know. But that's what I like about it. They're bred as pet food for exotic pets, like frogs and lizards etc.

OH!! I thought it might be like.. used a gourmet food at some strange eateries and such. I dunno... saw a special on that the other day. Some dude has a restuarant where all his dishes have some sort of insect in them. Looks odd but I would totally try it.

In japan there is a company that does mass produce insects for human consumption. In Australia though the demand for insects as food is really, uhhh, non-existent I think. My rats love the insects, the mealworms are their favourite, they get them as a treat. >^.^<

A girl told me a story once... she was from Australia.. about how her dad and her accidentally hit a koala one day on the way home and they thought it was dead.. but instead it stood up and one of its eyes was hanging out its head.... well.. she didnt think anything of it she said. A few days later she woke up and went out back to have a smoke and low and behold.. in her backyard was that damn koala. It scared her so bad. I never found out what happened to it after that. But that is kinda creepy.

lol, I don't know whether to laugh or feel bad for the poor little man eating koala.
First day back at work was monday and it's been absolutely freaken craptactular. >.< I'm so exhausted because of not eating solids for the last two weeks, and to make it even better it feels like there's an infection in one of my teeth that was left in >.<

AH!! That sucks. i found out that I grind my teeth in my sleep and that makes the tooth I need to get pulled hurt so bad in the mornings. What sort of insects do you work with? And yeah... i would have went after that fucker with a shovel.. that way when you kill the koala.. you can bury it.. and then watch it come back from the dead then.. wouldnt that just be great... an undead one eyed caved in skull koala.
