# About me
Hi, I'm Reya! Hailing from Northern Washington state, I have always been filled with a sick thrill from the natural beauty all around me. When I was 7 years old I got my first camera, a hand-me-down Nikon SLR generously donated by my supportive Dad.I started with nature and burned through film so fast, I'd have to start earning new rolls with chores and allowance. Developing the film also became costly, so in High School my parents converted our second bathroom in to a make-shift part-time dark room and I was allowed to fill our tub with chemicals and develop my own stuff.
Since then I have moved into the ever popular realm of digital photography and I love the artistic versatility of the medium, the artists ability to adapt images in almost any way to realize their expressive vision. I am getting better at this I think.
Right now I work as a part time hair dresser in San Francisco (my home away from home) and focus my artistic energies on portraiture when I have a willing muse, and self-portraiture when I do not.
I'm hoping to meet like-minded or not so like-minded artists to critique my work and share their personal creative journeys in art.
