Ugh! Tell me about it! I'm a summer girl. I've been well Japan-obsessed since my trip this spring and working a LOT. Tried going back to school for Japanese lessons and couldn't afford it (monetarily OR on 4 hours of sleep a night). So now my lovely friend is tutoring me and I'm just enjoying the five hours of day that have been freed up for sleep. I'm working full time, but with forced overtime I'm working upwards of 42-50 hours a week. Are you still in school??? What's been going on in the life of K-ayu?

Omg, you are super busy! Make sure to take some time out for yourself every once in a while - breaks and naps are great! As for me, things haven't been nearly as crazy for a change haha. I graduated this year from undergraduate, but I commute to class 2 hrs away, once a week at night (separate from my degree). Just got a part-time job and other than that, just working on applications for a training program that I want to do to become a clinical lab scientist (next fall, hopefully). I've been playing this online game since summer too and it's been my obsession hahaha. But I think all in all, I need to fix my sleep schedule the most O_O

Wa’alaikum...thank you for including my photo in the group's gallery! I majored in religious studies, with a focus and minor in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. Sufism has always been my scholarly passion, with art and poetry as my favorite facets and manifestations. I'm so glad this group is out there!

Been back now for a week, but I spent most of that week in Virginia with my brothers. It's officially the second day of the semester though, so I am back in New York and on campus now. I'll be posting lots more over the next few days, once all the start-of-the-semester dramas die down ^_^

Aw, no problem! It really is awesome art...very unique and there's flair to ALL of it. I can definitely tell you put a lot of thought into it...but have a ton of fun with it too.

I think a lot of people lose that..they think too hard when they're creating stuff and so it ends up looking over-worked or too "heavy".
