You're welcome! Your stuff looks really interesting. I pronounce it [,tษฌa.ku.'สคun.kan] but y'know, whatever works.

I never really liked those conlanger codes. They're about as readable as Brainfuck(and they kinda look like it too). ย I did on a while back though.

Hey! Have you read Terry Brooks' autobiography? It's called "Sometimes the Magic Works" and it's a really hilarious and inspiring book about his creative process and his stories. It's really awesome! Anyway, if you haven't read it, I totally recommend it! It really makes you want to write immediately, ahaha.
Anyway, just FYI!

I haven't read it, but I'll be sure to do it soon! ^_^ I'm working on Robert Jordan's "The Great Hunt" right now, but it'll be a pretty quick read.

Ah, awesome! I was about to start his Wheel of Time (I think that's the one?) series, then realized it was 14 books long or something. I was like, "Maybe when I'm retired..." hahaha. Jam!

Yeah, it is pretty long, but it is pretty interesting too. Very similar to LOTR but with enough unique points to pull you along. Perhaps some other time.

Your suggestion for the Conlang challenges was chosen! It was the best suggestion, I was waiting for it to be chosen for a couple of months now. I can't wait to start even though I have NaNoWriMo, lots of projects, and lost of shows to catch up on.

So you speak Swedish . Chinese and Japanese.
Do you use translator for the signature?
Because the Japanese part is a tad off, unless you are aiming to slang.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
tlhakujunkan In reply to MassiveMaster [2011-08-19 01:09:41 +0000 UTC]
No, I can read Swedish, a little. I didn't use a translator, because if I had then I wouldn't be able to claim I can read or speak those languages. Why do you think the Japanese is wrong? And 'slang' is not a verb.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
MassiveMaster In reply to tlhakujunkan [2011-08-19 08:19:23 +0000 UTC]
Well both the Chinese and Japanese phrase is incorrect if you wanna use correct and humble language, unless you are aiming to sound youthful.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
tlhakujunkan In reply to MassiveMaster [2011-08-19 10:15:15 +0000 UTC]
I didn't intend to use humble language. That would take up too much space.

MassiveMaster In reply to tlhakujunkan [2011-08-20 13:13:16 +0000 UTC]
Ok, I do not think you know these languages :3 , you are perhaps a beginner that knows some.. I doubt you speak pure Japanese or Chinese.

As a fellow speaker of French un peu (and English. And Japanese. ), I just wanted to point out that the French in your signature is not entirely grammatically correct. I think you're trying to say, "I know how to speak a little French"? I suggest "Je peux parler un peu de franรงais aussi" or just "Je parle un peu..." instead.

Well, to be honest I only really KNOW English, but I'm conversational in Japanese, and can putter my way around Spanish, French, and Mandarin. Whatever else I have in my sig is reading only - I'd be clueless if I heard the spoken language. And then I have 40 or so conlangs... XD They are my pride and joy.
