# About me

I often feel a little odd taking credit for a photograph. So much went into creating the image that has very little to do with me. Most of the time, I have no real control of the light--only tricks to make it look "good". The subject is what it is. And I'm using a piece of equipment that dozens, if not hundreds of people spent a long time designing and crafting, and that I would have no hope of reconstructing myself. Even the inspiration to photograph something, what could most easily be called "my" contribution to the image, comes out of a thought process beyond the rational or creative. It seems to pop out of thin air. So I'll be content to hope that a little bit of how I feel about my subjects makes it into the final image. The rest, I'd say, is beyond my credit.
