FoW is currently closed. The only way to get in right now is to adopt a character. There's an adopt folder where you can either try-out for a sibling of a current character or a kit in an upcoming litter--I know there's a few going on right now. However, after that, it doesn't really matter what character you bring in so long as you follow the character creation guidelines.

To answer your question about scars, you should be able to have scars so long as it's not a disability.
