Ahh I don't really have a single favourite character. I love all of them from each game so much. 
I can probably give you a top 6 at best  

I adore Maki and Ellie from the first Persona.
Maya is always going to be one of the best characters. Her and Tatsuya's relationship is genuinely one of the most heart breaking things I've ever played. 
Persona 3 Characters are a tough one...I personally find them a perfect cast. I adore both Protagonists but since they're silent its not really fair to have them here...so Akihiko and Shinjiro.
And from Persona 4 its got to be Naoto. She is such an amazing character and her roles in both P4 and P4A were the most enjoyable for me. 

Haha, Persona is my favourite series so I could easily talk in depth about how amazing each character is  How about you? do you have a number 1 character ?

 I cannot wait for Persona 5! Very curious where they're gonna go with the story!

That is tough one.  All together without the main Protagonist, it is Junpei, Fuuka Yukari, and Akihiko the Persona 3 cast.  
By game, Persona 1 is Main Protagonist and Maki.
Persona 2 is Tatsuya, Lisa, and Anna.
Persona 3 is Junpei, Fuuka, Yukari, Minato, Minako, and Akihiko.
Persona 4 is Yu (Main Protagonist), Chie, Kanji, Rise, and Naoto.  
I love P3 and P4 MC.  
Who is your favorite couple and Social Link?
My number one character is Minato from P3 because he did not need to die while impacted so many people and The Answer did help these either.  Stating he want to die.  That why I think Persona 3 ending is not the best.

Hahah I could of easily added more names but I stopped myself ^_^

My favourite couple is definitely Minako and Akihiko..or from the original Minato and Mitsuru....Although Shinjiro is probably my favourite SL from P3.
From Persona 4 its a bit different. Weirdly one of my favourite social links is Ai Ebihara...cant explain why :L! In regards to couple its either going to be Yu and Naoto or Yu and Rise..I just think they all have the best chemistry. 

I liked the P3 ending to a certain extent. it was bitter sweet but it left room for development. I also liked the story of the answer but the fact that the P3 protag is the only one to die when he's one of the best silent protagonists (along with his female version)..is very upsetting. 
It reminded me of the feeling I had at the end of P2...
But overall it was a good story. with the ending of P4A aswell it seems that its not the end of Minato anyway xx

My favorite P3 couples is Minato and Fuuka, Minato and Yukari, Junpei and Fuuka, Minako and Junpei, Akihiko and Mistsuru, Ryoji and Minako, Ryoji and Aigis.  Here is a fun one Ken and Maiko because SL have a similar ending.  Kaz and Yuko.  Minato and Yuko.  Kenji and Rio.  
P4 couple: Yu and Chie, Yu and Rise, Yu and Maire, Yu and Yumi, Kou and Ai, Daisuke and Yumi, Ai and Yu.  Kanji and Naoto. 
P3 Social Link: Yuko, Rio, Saori, Kaz, Fuuka, Yukari, Maiko, Ken, Akinari, and Mamoru.
P$ SL: Chie, Rise, Ai The Sport Club, Yumi, Ai, The Nurse, Kanji, the Uncle, and the Fox.
You are P4AU ending because possible return of the Minato.
