This movie is a good example why you vaccinate your animals.I know that the movie itself is more dramatized and it's somewhat of a misrepresentation of rabies
Regardless vaccinate your animals.
This is not done by any means and I'll be updating it til it's done.

For those who've never read the book or watched the movie, Cujo is movie about a family pet st Bernard who turns rabid after getting bit on the nose by an infected bat. He then traps a woman and her young son in the car for a few days and terrorizes them.

Just to clear up confusion
Cujo is a movie about a farm dog who gets RABIES and goes on a rampage because of the disease. Even trapping a mother and her young son in the car for days as the disease progresses.
Yes the movie inaccurately portrays rabies, and yes Cujo is suffering in the picture, he's got RABIES
There is a scene in the movie where he lays down under the porch steps, he's covered in mud, blood, froth from his mouth and discharge out of his eyes.
It's not pretty, because the movie isn't pretty.

Speaking bout rabies, mom told me one of my dad's co-workers got attacked by her neighbors cat that turned out to be rabid, a bunch of other neighbors did too, so my dad's co-worker had to go get a ton of rabies shots. They still haven't gotten the cat.

She's fine now the poor woman can't catch a break, and they are filing a lawsuit against the local animal control who came out first because they said the cat was fine just dehydrated.

I remember this movie. Its actually quite inaccurate about rabies. There is a small period of time when prey animals to act "rabid" but the movie over dramtiazies is way more then it looks. More often animals don't get a chance to act rabid and go into fear of water and resp. Failure as the leading cause of death. Still a very nice fan art.

Oh trust me I know, cause after seeing the movie I researched it lol.
But this was sorta based off the part of the movie we're he's trying to relax but the landline keeps ringing which triggers him to go crazy.
It may be in accurate but to me in a way it makes the movie a bit more scary when you realize, oh shit rabies is actually a real illness.

Oh for sure. I was actually exposed to rabies several times. Once I even got the saliva from a rabid goat on me. I ended up having to get $10,000 worth of shots as preventative. That's how serious it is.

I remember getting bit by a 5 week old feral, like small enough to hold in one hand, kitten that was stuck on our porch it barely broke the skin but I just remember cashing my hands for like 20 mins, I never went to the doc but bruh the anxiety from even thinking about it jfc

Rabies is usually 100% fatal once the victim starts showing symptomsΒ
so far only two people have shown symptoms and lived.

Really just depends. But yeah it is fatal. Humans there is treatment, but animals sadly not. Once they have signs of the disease they must be killed. I've been exposed to rabies from a goat and had to get a total of 10 shots over the course of a few weeks. Humans go mental until they die from suffocation or self mutilations.

I remember this movie, I had nightmares, and didn't trust any DPG for a while. So I'd make sure to pay attention to Ginger ( my babygirl, whom is a dog ), and Micah, I did love this movie^^. Also, awesome art!
