Do you cosplay? I've cosplayed pseudo-albino characters with the help of makeup. My lineage is Taiwanese so I tan pretty easily ...but then I'm also an artist so I never get any sun anyway.

I am for the most part Maori and cant pull off the European look very well *features and what-not*. Any character with a bit of a tan or darkerΒ indigenous lookΒ I think I could manage ok.

Yeah, it's a lot of commitment, both in terms of getting the outfit together and then going through with it in a huge public space.
The lack of option thing is always an awkward thing to discuss, but I've seen folks just go for it, regardless of their skin color.
