It's fascinating! You can spend hours studying! That's cool! What inspires you to create such a complicated design?

One of the most interesting and thoughtful artworks I have seen in a while. Very interesting, and now I'm interested in "Airborn!"Β

Hey man! It's been a while but I've done the 3D modeling of the marketfort with reference to your sketch. I added some basic lightings and shading but haven't gotten into details in building texture. Thanks again for letting me model this, I had a great time building it. It's damn cool.
Cheers!

Yeah, this art is fantastic! It looks like a real place, a real level in a game, it's so solid! That tall tower wall and the cast shadow, and the colors! All the stuff on this project is great.

Neat idea! Though it looks like they aren't packing enough firepower to really fend off any raiders or other unfriendlies. Mayhaps those guns are just for show?

How do you calibrate you colors like that? Does it come through practice, studies is there some trick to matching colors ?

acapulc0 In reply to ERO-47 [2012-09-05 07:13:03 +0000 UTC]
Hm, I dont know. I think it is mainly practice and learning from other artists, especially old masters. I am a huge fan of impressionism, always loved their colours and read a lot about it. Search for books, blogs featuring art and techniques. Traditional art has made everything before, so use it!

I rarely do any studies. It just helps looking at the images. I find John singer Sargent and Anders Zorn are great
