Oh gosh, your panelling is so cinematic, it conveys the impact of the moment without needing explanation AT ALL. And owie, someone had a rough day, gargling there - yeah I'd run away too.
I would not think this requires a mature filter. With the state of things on this site, this is sedate and PG

Fully agreed on panelling! Beautiful work, and not least the way the wounds are drawn and coloured.
As to mature filter, I'd have put one in place just to be safe forever and ever.

With this site it's better to be safe than insulted (when a moderator swoops in to finger wag at naughties)

Gosh - that was unexpected! I think this is probably the most bloody scene in the entire comic so far! I still like it though - well done remembering about little details like the rabbit jumping away. Poor Folquet.... I hope he will be able to recover... somehow... eventually....

Thank you!
I'm so glad you think so. I'm also not a great fan of bloody stuff. And I feel my bloody scenes are rather mild, which is why I thought it's ok to post this one without a mature filter. But I would really not wish to make anyone uncomfortable or cause them distress, so if you ever feel that a page should be filtered, do let me know!

That was one nasty encounter! One is reminded of a particularly vicious cat playing with a mouse- To inflict that kind of damage with a sword would require the precision of a duelist - as if the intent were more to punish than to kill cleanly. And yes, why leave the sword- which I assume has the poor fellow pinned against the tree, with no major blood vessels severed, otherwise the noise of the encounter would have alerted the huntress, and there would have been no last words. Not to mention the lucky bunny- who unless all was quiet wouldn't have been there in the first place! A real puzzle, and I look forward to an elucidation.

Ah, that cat playing with a mouse idea is very poignant. As usual you are not far off from the mark! How do you do it?
I don't want to spoil too much, but I can say that poor Folquet has been pinned to that tree for some time before Marthe got there...

How do I do it? You suffer from the disadvantage of being eminently reasonable and logical- your attention to detail is your downfall, if your intent is to mislead your readers. Please don't be offended- it makes your story such fun to read!

I'm so glad to hear that. I never know what to think about such things. I don't wish to offend anyone or cause them stress. And I just don't know what other people's sensibilities are. So your words are very reassuring. Thank you!

Well, I know not anyone is a fan of occitan poetry, but that's still a little harsh...
Eh, whoever has done this must probably be in no financial stress if they can leave behind such a good looking sword!
Also, you did very well with the pose on the last panel! If it was up to me, I would have added a lot more cherry juice but as it stands I really don't think it needs any mature filter.
Shoot! I wish I was the first one to make a Rabbit of Caerbannog joke

It's happening in the present. Around 3 weeks after chapter 1 ended. I should have added that in a bubble on the first page of the new chapter. I'm an idiot...
