Maybe do the hair more like a "mass", than like a "set of fibers", this usually be the "error" in this type of renders, the hair in a statue is a simplified form, not a set of thousands of independent hairs

If I do one that was designed as a "statue" from the start, I'll probably go that route. This one was really more about playing with the materials. Or maybe I was magically transformed into glass, who knows?
