This is my entry into adoption contest. Her lovely mare Isharelle and her handsome stallion Ohem. This is their one foal Ishohem. His sister is Ohrelle.

I took the best aspects of both parents and decided on a grey coloring with the dark gray of the fathers muzzle. His dapples are beautiful swirls of lavender and teal iridescence that match his luxurious mane and tail hair.

One dark night, Isharelle felt the pangs of motherhood were imminent and began to walk in slow circles in the misty field below the great oak. This is where for centuries her family had been birthed, despite the oncoming storm that was brewing in the distance. She whinnied a call to her beloved Ohem to let him know it was time for the blessed arrival. As Ohem approached he nickered softly and rubbed her gently. After laying down and a few short pushes, an egg emerged. Ohem sat with it as a surprised Isharelle began to push once more. 2? It is rare that a mare have more than one egg. A loud crack of thunder and a bolt of lightning hit the Old Oak. It sent shock waves through their bodies. They had to get the eggs to safety.

Ohem rolls the first egg to a nearby bluff as an exhausted Isharelle waits for his return. Just then, the sky lights again and a mighty wind blows a swirl of wicked wind around the second egg and lifts it to the skies. Ohem arrived to see the horror, and beckons Isharelle to come from the tree. She went to lay with the other egg in safely as Ohem searched throughout the night. When the dawn broke, he saw high on a lazy lavender cloud the egg resting gently next to which a fairy kept close guard. She fluttered down to Ohem and began to speak. "This is a chosen child, with very special needs. He is born of storm and night, and unlike your other egg must be nurtured in the ways befitting a night equine." "Where will he go, where will you take him?" Ohem asked. "The Noctournos stallion Zubo will raise and train him in the ways of the night, and when he is old enough he will be a guardian of all things from dusk til dawn." I will let my love know, and we obey the Gods wishes.". The fairy lit off to keep watch over the chosen one as Ohem walked away, in hopes that he would someday or night see his son in the flesh, and said a silent prayer that he remain safe.

Ok, I know this is a bit long, but If I win, Ishohem will become a stallion in my stable, and the only horse I have there is the Dark Pegasus Zubo. I thought this was a pretty cool concept, I hope I win I love how his pic turned out and he would bring some neat stories and color to a dark stable!!!
