Love it, he looks so angelic and carefree. Who doesn't love beautiful Finarfin? <3

I was going to reply, maybe those who love Feanor and Fingolfin aren't so in love with Finarfin! I personally love him to bits - the only one who had the good sense to do the right thing and turn back before it was too late - and brave enough to face the music (and his wife) after Alqualonde and pick up the pieces. But there are those who find him much less exciting than his bros.
I tried to capture him here young and innocent before his family was torn apart by strife, so I'm happy you see him as angelic and carefree!

I love all three Finweans... they're all so different and so good and tragic in their own way. Facing the music and picking up the pieces, that's such a wonderful way to describe it... it takes a special kind of courage to be gentle and steadfast and to care for people instead of fighting. Can't wait to see your finished piece!!

Thank you! (It's tough and slow going at the moment, but I hope to complete it soon!)

How lovely! He looks almost a little wistful... and I agree that one can see the familial resemblance to Finrod, but it's still very visibly your Finarfin. As always, the eyes are captivating, and the hair is marvellous! He's rather young to have such a serious look on his face, but then, being the youngest in a large family with volatile older siblings... I suspect he had to be the diplomat very early.

He turned out more wistful and serious than I wanted actually! I wanted him to look rather dreamy and gentle, but also fascinated as it is his first visit to Alqualonde. I really like your interpretation, that he became a peacemaker and diplomat very early whenever he was caught in the Feanor-Fingolfin crossfire. I think Tolkien wrote somewhere, however, that as far as possible he tried to stay out of it, probably because he refused to take sides. Struggling to finish the rest of the picture, which is part of a series!Β

He looks a lot like Finrod here but you can tell it's him from the eyes.

He might be, I am not the right person to judge. But Finrod is sweeter. He is the representation of smiling.
