at first i though it was a sculpt, XD. I like, its very pretty, i belive that drawing horses it's very deep because they are amazing creatures and have some magic in it same as wolves.
But let see what can i tell you.
1) one thing that botters me it's the left frontal leg, it's like shorter than the others, and i don't know if horses can move it the way it is made.
2) the lights on the skin i though they were like thunders, i don't know if that was your intention but maybe you should try to made them softer and less.
3) the mane on the face, it's like to much and to much puffy.
4) the background, work on it because it helps allot to create that effect on a drawing like WHOA! even if all the attention is on the character, the background it's very important don't leave it aside, work with the colors. if the character have dark tones made the background lighter.
But in general i like it. Surprise us with more!
I will be glad to see you try Traditional art (I don't know if you already have done some of it) 'cuz i'm sure a pencil drawing from you of a horse face it will be amazing.

The legs have the same size, I made my lineart from a photo for the front leg position so I'm sure it's ok
Yep, I wanted to test a new type of lightning, because usually we just blame me the lacks of shine.
I wanted to have a very big forelock as we can see on Shetland ponies, I think it's so cute with this breed ^^ !
The BG is very simple because I'm doing some variations of this pony in order to create some products, in which I've the idea to see the pony primarily and not the BG (it will be small products, so I think that I must not overload the composition to enhance the pony (and ponies finally)).
But I'll take care of your observations in the future !
And yes, I paint in traditionnal (you can see some of them in my gallery), but I'm not sure it's better lol !

It makes me feel good that you take my observations ! 'cuz some artists doesn't like the critiques. feel free to do some of them on my deviantions too when you can.
Now i understant some of your reasons (Like the BG ones)
