They are often known as 'Rifters'. They tear rifts from realms and enter ours, often mistaken as large wolves or dogs. When they tear through, fog is often produced, imparing any other creature's sense of smell, hearing and sight. When Rifters attack, they often attack like large cats, leaping up on thier prey and crushing or snapping the spine. They do not have endurance like wolves, rather the burst of speed and strength like large felines do. This means you do have a chance to outrun one, that is, if you've already spotted it and started to run before it has.
