Everything I have been sketching lately has just no looked right so I though I would take the opportunity to attempt one of the amazing artworks in an art book I recently purchased. I followed loosely the colouring steps for the winged unicorn in this awesomely helpful book Winged Fantasy by the amazingly talented windfalcon I decided not to do the wings as I wasn't really feeling up to it and so we ended up with a unicorn who is meant to be making the northern lights...but hes just kind of floating in the sky making spindly shapes with his horn

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and wants to have a crack at some really awesome watercolour paintings. I even learned some new techniques doing this one too which is always exciting. You can find the book on Amazon here: www.amazon.com/Winged-Fantasy-…

This took about 5 hours, I used a variety of Art Spectrum Watercolour paints and Archers Rough 300 GSM A4 watercolour paper
