im slightly disturbed by the miraculous fact that his ear fully healed between the second and final pannels, geez talk about dramatic pauses, hyena took so long to speak the cub has fully recovered from a fresh wound, either that or little bastard's going deadpool on us

It didn't heal, it's just not showing the angle of his ear that got wounded. He had his ears flipped back in the two panels.

He didn't miraculously heal, his ears are drawn back in panels 3-6. The wound is on the outer rim of the ear, not visible from those angles.

I like this flipping of the usual unfair stereotype that hyenas are always assholes in most comics and stories.
I still can't help but feel a little weary with how many are starring at the cub in the distance. Maybe they are just curious.
I love how gruff the main hyena is.

What's even more interesting is that's typically how lions and hyenas are in the wild! Because of the stereotypes people typically think it's the hyenas that steal, but that's just the opposite! Lions are just really lazy XD

I mean, hyenas are stronger than lions and more numerous so a lone lioness OF COURSE SHE WILL BE AFRAID AND RESPECTFUL TOWARD THE HYENA ALPHA! Well, a pack of hyenas is definitely stronger than a lion, but a single hyena is not. Lions are stronger on an individual scale, but hyenas often have numbers. You're right, a single lioness would definitely not want to tango with the full pack.

Yeah but hyenas always going in pack except some male hyenas who are looking to a new pack (poor ones) and compare the number members of a hyena pack with a lion pack. It's so big the difference. The Lion King makes so damaged to the hyenas xD
