Why is it that magical security systems are either too tight that nobody can even get in or so flimsy that anyone can break the seal.
This is why tech is a thing.

Well, look at it this way. Typically in a fantasy universe, you have magically talented people of malevolent nature (BBEGs) who want nothing more than to wreck shit for no good reason. Not to mention the literal demon lords roaming around the block. So making convoluted security systems with magic is a good deterrent for those looking to do some damage.
As for the "ULTRA POWERFUL MAGIC SEAL" that's actually really easy to bypass by making a typo on one rune... all I can imagine is that the wizards who made it focused more on sealing whatever nasty thing inside instead of making the seal super secure so nobody on the outside could break it. Then again, if they approached the arcane scientifically, that wouldn't be an issue.

I know, and that again goes more into the wizards focusing on keeping the dark evil in the seal rather than making the seal itself untouchable from the outside.

No, they're too busy living it up chugging back potions with witches and playing with their staffs.

Probably a lot harder than you think considering they have to trap a demon lord or a WMD so the planet won't blow up.
But yeah, you right, when it comes to a lot of traps, half the time is just pure lazy design.
