Description Entry for 's contest - Memory box

The theme is 'memories' - drawing their OCs with themes related to the memories of the artists

It just so happens that one of my favorite online music band is also doing a re-recording of their earlier songs and the song 凤凰劫  happens to be one of the songs potentially pending re-record. This song and it's singer 河图 is the first song/artist that got me into the Chinese utaite community and had stuck with me for 6-7 years. I even met some friends because we listen to the same song/singer. Every time I hear this song it evokes a really vivid story in my mind. Relistening to it now I just realized an interesting thing: 80% of the lyrics are composed of questions. I absolutely love how the composer/singer managed to illustrate a whole story using multiple questions <3

So I thought: why not take inspiration from this song? The picture depicts a line from the song: "You resided beside the River of Three Crossings and watched my next life's appearance."

The song itself also mentions something related to memories: "I planted the Datura flowers to engrave the memories from [our] previous life...when the Datura flowers bloom, who would recall the past?"

*30.5.2016 - I tried translating this song and explaining some of the concepts within it, which can be read here: docs.google.com/document/d/14r…

I just listened to the music, and tried to read the lyrics (difficult due to for it being traditional chinese I think). And it is a wonderful song. I have been lured!
The song itself has also inspired me, the questions has made me think now. But yes, I believe a lot of Chinese artists loves to add question(s) into their songs, but this song and herself is truly amazing. To turn wonders into a complete story. I absolutely agree with you. Thank you for sharing the song

You yourself has also done a great job illustrating these with those lines in mind. I now definately understand the piece you drew now.

Thank you so much for motivating us with the song and as well for participating!
