Kingdom Hearts "stuff"? You've never heard of the series before? 

Whoa whoa wait a minute NOOOOO you can't play the DS games first! What is your boyfriend thinking D:  
Ok... So play the first game first. It's super cheap used for the PS3 or practically free for the PS2, which is also extremely cheap if you don't have one already. Either system you can play the first 3 games which are KH, KH Re:Chain of Memories, and KH 2. 

As as for the manga you mentioned, is it 365/2? If it is, don't bother playing it on the DS. I was only able to force myself all the way through for the story, which
wasn't great, but the gameplay is worse. Save hours of your life and stick with the manga or watch the new cutscenes in KH 1.5. 

Do not play out of order! You can trust me. KH has been my obsession since 2002.

I had never heard of it before, until i found the manga,
and yes its the 365/2 manga.

I found in in the library at our school and I just wanted
something new to read. I'm on the 4th one, which is the
last one my schools library has.  

I found myself in love with Roxas, enough that I wanna
cosplay him, he's just so cute~ >w<

Game system wise, I only have a Wii, DSi and 3DS. And 
my boyfriend has a Xbox. I didn't really know about the
game order, and I'm not sure if my BF knows about it either,
considering that all he has is the DS game. Sadly I have no
money I can set aside for the games or the systems to play it
on. All I can get to is my BF's DS game.  

This is a bit of an awesome surprise and a downer for me. I really would
love to know how the hole story plays out, I can't just leave it
on what little bits and peaces I know...

you can probably find the whole manga online somewhere. As for the time line, there's a pic online that Square Enix made that has all the KH games laid out i terms of story order. Yon might find it by searching "kingdom heart timeline". Then at least you can read the manga in order.

Roxas is cool You might like Ventus too. I like them both but I think I like Ven  little bit more xD; Anywho I cosplayed casual Sora at my last convention lol. I wish I had the whole official outfit. Or at least have my friends do the casual thing too.

If you ever do cosplay him and need someone to style the wig, I'm right here ;D lol although I wouldnt know if shipping would be kind to it.

Yeah, I'll look for it online~
And maybe I'll look up some play threw,
I've found that for the little money I have 
its the next best thing to playing it
cause I have like hardly any game money.
Thank for the info, I'm really enjoying the
Kingdom Hearts stuff so far, and I hope to 
be a proud fan soon, and to know who all the
people you're talking about are hahaha~
