Note to self, find a better way to export from Photoshop to Flash.---------
Anyway, as an attempt to get myself back into some animation, here's some rough animation of a walk cycle- featuring Sonic.
I'm not sure if I want to keep the ears as floppy or something, but I like the overall movement. Though his proportions piss me off because of those DAMN BIG ASS FEET.
...Ok I'm done.
No this won't be in color...I don't think.

Very casual and easy-going.
I am not sure his ears would sway like that with each step, as though they carried no weight or were very flimsy.
Still, I like it! It looks like the animation from that Sonic OVA years back!

It's a free animation software for pc. Fuck animating in photoshop. It'll make your life easier...

I'm on an OLD mac and my Wine skills are sucks.
So it's between Photoshop and Flash which are the two most capable in terms of playing in real time. I've tried a few others but alas...

So this is what you were working on. I think it looks good, especially the floppy spines and ears, although it might've been best to include the inner ear too to give it that extra depth.

Well again it is rough so not all the details are in there~ (like the actual structure of his hands and the actual details of the shoes).
If I clean it up n stuff, all the little necessary details will be in there for sure~ (\D; If I'm as nerdy as I am nitpicky lol)

Oooh, very fluid *o* The floppy ears are adorable, and so is his face. I've heard that walk cycles are one of the hardest things to animate and look right, but you've aced it. Awesome work n_n

Though part of it would depend on on how one wants the walk to look and such, so I can understand how a "relatively simple" concept can end up being something severely complex.

XD I swear I've read somewhere that once you can animate a walk cycle you can animate just about everything. I fail '''OTL It may have been referring to your latter point though, more exaggerated stuff XD Ah well, sorry for the mixup lol.
