Oh, my God... you guys actually get to see one of my first drawings for the first time, ever! And... they are JUST as bad as I remember.As you take note of my first drawings, you will notice:
- Crappy anatomy
- Lame posing
- Crappy coloring
- Violet's GIANT head
- Drawing on line paper- a big "no-no" for professional artists, and a personal pet peeve of mine.
Safe to say, I am MUCH more satisfied with Violet's 2014 design... so why show you guys her first design?
Well, I've always itched to doing one of these memes, just to compare how my drawing skills fared back then compared to how they are now. And while it is a foregone conclusion that my drawing skills have greatly improved since then, it's actually fun to measure how my skills compare.
And... as much as I am embarrassed of my old drawings, I do have this odd nostalgic attachment to them- guess it's just fun to see where somebody started out just to see where they are. And yes, I might do this for my other characters- but only the ones from my ORIGINAL draft of "Timeless". So, enjoy the Purple Passion Bird, Violet, and how she's evolved over the years.

The left one isn't actually that bad. She does look like something from Sonic The Hedgehog and that isn't a complaint. The head though, is a bit big. And the lined paper really did get to me, I'll stop using it from now on. As for the new one, is still looks shiny and fresh, she looks better and more beautiful than the old mechanic, but now her hands are kind of large. While it may look lustful, there's a whole lot of potential in her for a TV show. You've made some very great improvements with her there dude!.

What a HUGE improvement! You really became an artist! Me, for the other hand, I barely know how to hand draw properly.

To be fair, hands are one of THE hardest things for any artist to get down properly; so don't feel too bad about it. Though I got MOST of my improvement in the last year of the six tears I've been drawing.
