Description
After some videos from filming fo Desolation of Smaug came out, with Thranduil on the throne of elk horns, many people though of Jareth, and there even were collages with them both sitting on their thrones for comparison. And thus the crossover was born.

I suppose, they are finding out whose magic is more potent (in my headcanon plants start growing where Thranduil goes). As for how they met, I'm still not sure. Either goblins found themselves a new king after old one was slain, and Thranduil went to see him, or maybe Thranduil told Legolas to go to goblins (with some errand) but timing and wording was unfortunate and Legolas ended up in Labyrinth, so Thranduil had to go and rescue his son.
