Reaaaally nice, Lhune! You've got some seriously good dynamic going on here, in the pose and in the markmaking. I'd suggest being really careful when you go about finishing this one, you've got some great energy in the brushwork that would be a shame to lose and could really quickly stiffen up the pose. I think if you tighten up the face and hands, then do whatever color and background work you have planned, you could pretty much leave the body as is and call it done.

Really nice stuff, can't wait to see the finish!

Yeah I plan to do that :> might throw a texture on the cloth to make it just slightly more interesting, refine the face and hands and call it done. For the contest it doesn't need a background, but I'll probably throw in something simple.

Thanks so much! I'm quite happy with the energy of the brush strokes myself, I never thought I'd be able to pull that off, haha.

I remember a few years back, (I already love your art heh) your painting used to be a bit static, naow you have fixed this problem, this painting is really dynamic!! I can't wait to see what is going to be the next step of your improvement

Haha, thanks so much! It really means a lot that you noticed this; I tried my best to keep this rough and painterly, and I'm going to try to keep it so as I start adding colors and details. Thanks again !
