When coloring Adrian, Peter used to give me crap about how flat the rendering was. How it wasn't really rounding out the form and yanno what? I kinda agree with him, looking back at it.
But I wouldn't change it. I love coloring Adrian, and I love coloring him the way I color him, because it's something that came to be through communication between the two of us. My Runaways coloring style was very much a product Adrian's input as well as my own. And I love it for that.
So I did it again after years of not doing it for this piece, and it kinda hurt to finishi it. I miss coloring Adrian. He really was my comic book husband.

Just pick up this print at San Diego. Absolutley love this drawing and you did an amazing job on the the color. I reserved a special place on my wall for it.
One question though...next to Mary Jane's elbow on the left side, in the background there seems to be an old man's face. Is that suppose to be there or what.

the whole background is from sketches Adrian did for the book. My guess is that he just felt like sketching a dude and I was too lazy to take him out when I added it. XD

oh my look who i found... ive read a lot of the runaways.. i confess i used to think your colors were a bit too flat too, but now i think it suited alphona's thin lines perfectly...

No way. The rendering isn't too flat. At least not for my taste. There's a reason why I watch your stuff, and that's it. Your stuff has like a matte finish that I love. It gives it more feeling and style.

Hair is seriously my least favorite thing to color (though it's my favorite thing to draw), but you do it beautifully, as always.
