I absolutely believed I was going to finish this tomorrow night or maybe the night after, but apparently some top-tier determination kicked in earlier because wow, here we are. This thing's hecking done. Good job, me; holy crap-

Last weekend I had a real rough time; won't get into details but it was like a huge anxiety fest XD Not fun, right. So Tuesday night I started this piece as just a means of killing my own stress and trying to do something relaxing. There wasn't a plan. I didn't actually know if it would become anything or not, (fairly common when I sit down, start scribbling, and see what happens, haha), and I just started doodling the basic shapes of the swirl, and sure enough, it was really calming to do. So I just kept going. The background was done first, (or I thought it was but I played with it for the next five days lol), and by that time I wasn't... entirely sure who the character would actually be. Believe it or not, despite this being a very Sun Mom-ish setting, I wasn't sure if I'd really draw her.

Felt too obvious. Like maybe I should try somebody else; I have plenty of space-faring characters I could theoretically have dancing through stardust. Eventually I decided that this could just be another piece with her in it, but then I went through a brief period convincing myself I'd put Meta Knight there instead. In the end I think the main reason I didn't is because I couldn't envision a composition/pose for him that I liked, and Sunny with her long, poseable tail, eased back into the picture simply because I could physically fit her into the swirls better.
Rather similarly in terms of how unplanned everything else about this piece was, Popstar was a very late addition. Late and not totally confident, but after staring at it for like forty minutes now I think it looks perfect and it isn't going anywhere XD

I'm super, super proud of this and I hope you guys enjoy seeing it!
I've had people on Discord raving about it for a span of time, now, so if that's a good indicator I think it looks pretty slick!
