A quick (ish) sketch I drew up for the new Castlevania series on Netflix. So short, I wish there was more! Never really played the games, but I enjoyed the show. And I really liked the scenes with Vlad and Lisa. <3 X3Related content

I personally think that's not the case with the Netflix version! In the games timeline, he becomes Dracula as revange against God of letting his first love die, and in the Netflix show, Dracula says Lisa was the only one he ever loved, when in the games, Lisa is his second wife. And when confronting Trevor, he does not mention Leon at all. I think in the Netflix version, either Mathias and Dracula are two seperate characters (At least, that's how I am writting my fanfic), or Dracula forgot who he was when he was human, or Mathias doesn't exist in this version.

Saw first episode. Wonderful voice cast, had liked to see more of the relationship between Vlad and Lisa before they ripped her away.

my husband (who grew up playing the game series) absolutely adores this show. We talked for over an hour about things it got right and all the easter eggs he caught just in those 4 episodes.

I was a little surprised when I saw that Castlevania is now a series on Netflix. To be honest I'm waiting for The Witcher to appear.

Yeah that's the one possible downside to it, but I've got faith in CD Projekt Red in making it awesome. Unless some one in a suit who makes way too much money for the small amount of work they do starts giving them orders one what they can and can't put in.

I love Castlevania's soundtrack, Castlevania symphony of the night is arguably the best Castlevania, play the third one it's where the anime takes place

You should play them. They're REALLY good. YOu can still get Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia with fair ease, and all the classics are available on the 3DS. Castlevania 3 is the one the anime is based off of, where you can play as Trevor, Sypha, Alucard, and Grant. Hell, the fact Sypha was a statue and Trevor fought Alucard is canon, though in Castlevania 3, you can only choose one partner for Trevor. You can't have Alucard and Sypha powing around together. Furthermore, Sypha's gender was hidden for much longer in the game; you only learned she was female if you beat the game with her as your partner. Also, the fight with Alucard didn't end in a stalemate; Trevor wins it.
Lisa didn't appear until Symphony of the Night. She's still Alucard's mother, and still died because she tried to be a doctor in a time where the church wouldn't accept female doctors and branded her a heretical witch and burned her. She's the reason Dracula completely gave up on humanity, after seeing them turn on each other for such a dumb reason and killed his wife.

I know I probably -should- play them, but I've got such a massive game backlog that I doubt I'll even get the chance. XD I'm still trying to make my way through Breath of the Wild and FFXV right now, before Splatoon 2 drops and I lose all my time. XD

Ugh, FF. The less I say about that, the better. I think most of its entries are REALLY sexist, and people at least agree with me on 4 about that >.>
Breath of the Wild though is AMAZING.
