So a lot of people didn't, and a some still don't, want to play this game because it's made by EA. And you don't want to play this game just because the main protagonist is a guy? What is that you have against male protagonists? I personally like Cal Kestis. He's got a cool design, decent voice, awesome skills in both lightsaber combat and the force, a pretty decent personality, plus he's a Jedi padawan.

Yeah, Rey is a bland and boring character in the Last Jedi, hopefully she'll get some proper character development in the new movie. But I like Ahsoka Tano and Jyn Erso, they are pretty cool, I hate Rose 'cause she's annoying, Sabine Wren is also an awesome character, and that's all I've got.
But while I agree that there should be some main female protagonists, there should also be male ones to balance it out.

It also feels like the same case with how fans feel about the new canon. I personally like the new canon of Star Wars, despite the sequel trilogy and what other fans think. Probably the best part of the new canon is the comics published by Marvel. But people just seem to overlook this and only acknowledge the movies as the worst thing ever and viewing Disney as the anti-Christ. And I’m honestly pretty tired of it. Like when something new comes out of canon that looks exciting, some people like it, and then everyone else just shits all over it, which is annoying.

That is quite a lofty claim to make.
I think they're two different animals, for one thing.
One's a story-driven RPG with a lot of focus on conversation and constant story optioning, so of course it's going to sell something compelling and have a lot of lore and iintrigue to dole out.
THIS one iis more of an action adventure thing, and while it MAY offer a lightside /darkside "true ending" option, I doubt it'll go into as deep a story depth as Kotor did.
We'll waiit and see. I just worry for people that get their hopes up THAT high.

Imagine playing as a young Boba Fett trying to survive in the deep, deep undercity of Couriscant, a viile underworld just decrepid and rotten enough to make Obi wan say "Oh, forget that OTHER hive of scum and villainy, that sh**'s wretched as balls!", a world full of the worst criiminals and thugs, and the creepiest of light-eschewing monstrosiiies.
It was going to be very "Uncharted" in playstyle, action-packed cover-shooter with a whole lot of world to explore.

I always found it to be a little limiting in story scope - hence why I think stories like KOTOR have always been more interesting to me.
