For me, Leon and Claire are the best heroes team of the saga
curiously althought they aren't lovers, have not cooperative gameplay (ok darkside chronicles but it isn't cannon), not appear together in other canonical games
they have maintained the charisma and empathy since re2 classic and reafirmed it in the successful re2 remake
I think the particular success of them especially Leon. they both have separate stories, own goals, different skills
So After re2 they fight bioterrorism in their own way, Leon as a special agent and Claire as a rescuer and now researcher , that makes them interesting
if in the future Netflix make infinity darkness 2nd season and they repeat roles , I would not dislike

On the other hand the follow re teams:

Chris and Jill was the first iconic team as star members they survived the mansion incident, continued working together for the BSAA , they were team cooperative in revelations and re5 dlc lost nightmares
but Capcom decided only focused on Chris instead Jill become only a loyal companion and good soldier , she just following Chris, not own goals , she lost the independence that made her iconic in re1 and re3
sadly Capcom became her irrelevant being as pópular as Leon
and the worst she was excluding from the other games since re5 until now
conclusion; capcom ruined this team

Leon and Ada , capcom does not give them the same importance. Ada is condemned to maintain the essence of her character as a mysterious woman and spy it makes her has short scenes and minigames
Athough it does not seems she is in the Leon shadow so  she is just support for him during his campaign in some moments. The strong point between them it's their love story but it's become corny and repetitive

Rebecca and Billy had their debut and farewell in re0 XD

Jake and Sherry never convince me
A new re spin off could vindicate them? or wait for re6 remake XD, jaajaa

Chris and Sheva, Leon and HElena,  these ladies were only eventual partner for cooperative system
and I don't think so Sheva and Helena will return
