Description I added an extra 50g of chocolate for both of these as my fudge had to travel and i did not want to risk them falling apart on the journey.

I made two types dark chocolate fudge with digestives (graham crackers) [link] and white chocolate oreo fudge [link]

It looks very delicious!
I want to try it also, but I wanted to ask, if the condensed milk is sugared or not.
Could you tell me please?

If making the oreo recipe, how many oreos do i add? and is the extra chocolate only necessary if adding biscuits?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

claremanson In reply to clare22 [2012-01-24 07:53:14 +0000 UTC]

just add as many as you like really, i didn't count how many oreos i put in, i just kept adding them until i felt it was enough. I added the extra chocolate because i wanted a firmer fudge as it was going to be well traveled so didn't want to risk it falling to pieces but is not essential.

what where the quantities and materials you changed in the fudge recipe to make the white chocolate oreo fudge recipe?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

claremanson In reply to lordportico [2012-01-06 05:03:55 +0000 UTC]

i added an extra 50-75g of chocolate just to be certain it sets, i realized my mistake when i first attempted to make fudge, i did not add enough chocolate. y need more chocolate in it than condensed milk to make sure it sets properly

Cool. Thanks so much. I love Oreos, so this recipe is awesome. I didn't know you could do much with Oreos except for dunking it into milk or turning it into icecream. This has been a revelation. And you say you're part of a group that makes Oreo recipes? That is doubly awesome.

ever since my other half bought home a huge bag of free oreos from work once i have made many things, cheese cake, truffles, cookies, cakes, milk shake, ice cream, the possibilities are endless. you really should check out the official oreo website [link] then you will see just how many things you can make with them!

SirenRayn In reply to claremanson [2011-11-28 12:19:14 +0000 UTC]

the ones I have call for marshmallow creme (which I know you don't have)... I actually never seen one without it. I think my grandma has a family one from way back when without creme.

claremanson In reply to ik-ben-10eke [2011-11-27 04:43:30 +0000 UTC]

yes still soft, i have a theory though, this time i saved half of the ingredients in case it did not work out so well so i will test that theory a bit later

turns out third time lucky i reduced the amount of condensed milk by a quarter to a half, photos later

ik-ben-10eke In reply to claremanson [2011-11-27 12:55:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh.. I used the same size can with sweetened condensed milk for ehh... 330 grams milk chocolate and 160 grams white chocolate, so... roughly estimated: 1 can of it to 500 grams chocolate.
Looking forward to your pictures.
