Description

The shadows stretched longer and more twisted than seemed natural. The sun was sinking into the earth, but it still cast enough light to illuminate the figure in the trees. The atmosphere of curious amusement rippled through the air, and Cairo straightened herself as she faced the ancient Esk.
"No nature features, stranger?" The vibrations of laughter was ever-present in Ikkit's ethereal voice.
"You know this is not my Boundary," She responded, tilting her head in mock amusement.
"Ah, so we have met? That's right." Ikkit twisted his head to peer down at her. "The pun-lover from the Arids. Care for a battle of riddles yet again?"
She shook her head. "You came too late, tree-dweller. My home calls to me. Perhaps another day." She turned, her shrublands home in mind. The Wanderer stared after her, preparing to follow the esk and summon a prank to get back at her, but a buzz in his consciousness caused him to spin his head and gaze into the dark forest. The sun was setting, and another traveling esk was simply begging for inspection.

Final chapter for the Walk in the Woods event that happened over a year ago~ I had started the entries--but too late--and now that I finally finished them I still wanted to post the scenes, since I had been quite proud of them! XD
