One of those pieces where I had this random idea in my head but got hung up way too long noodling the 'fun stuff' and had to rush out the theme at the end. I think I spent, er, like 90sec on the pitchfork? Rest of the time was devoted to the weird spacesuit person sitting on the outcropping. I focused primarily on the figure, almost zero attention paid to the background, used clouds and fog to fill volume for the background but that was a real quick trick, I think a few minutes tops for everything; I painted the foreground cloud pattern and duplicated it twice, pushing both into the background and making adjustments to smudging and color. Stripping off the cloud layers you'd see that the image is very, very stark, very simple with all the time being put into the figure, even the ledge is just a polygon lasso tool selection filled in
