Heh! Yeah. I was thinking initially some type of H.R. Gigeresque seed pod / egg. But after airbrushing to fill in around the "beam" abit, as with the original image from Tierazon it was just void black, which didn't set quite right wth me, I had noticed before the insect head appearance. (I had a variation I wish I kept & can't remember which distort tools I used, which made a great hummingbird rotated 90 degrees.)
Just remember to always be properly armed against Bug Technology, Citizen!
