What's so great about the connection between crash and spyro is that their parenting companys' employees Naughty Dog and Insomniac were great friends, regularly hung out, and worked together (demos of each others games in retail disks). It makes the crossover art feel more natural, like if it were actually canon. This paring of gaming icons has the best vibe. It isn't forced and is certainly great to view.
