I am not really to keen on digital art despite sometimes I can't tell the difference. I really do appreciate traditional methods of painting. This is just delightful. Well done.

The Yin and Yang of color!!! Wonderful!

Yes. The red is an active factor and the blue - passive. It's interesting to read Goethe's 'Theory of Colours' ( 'Zur Farbenlehre') about qualities of colours.

I haven't read, "Theory of Colours", but I will put it on my reading list! Thanks for the book tip! Greetings to you as well!

Well, it definately is interesting to look at. Get the brains going about the theory of colours thing you were talking about.

In imagination (the move of the red and the blue) can this exercise have
the meditative character. It could be an exercise too the painting rainbow colours in different forms with the question: how many each colour I need to keep them in power balance.

AltoPhonse In reply to creapicform [2012-01-07 10:02:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that definately makes sense.
It's true, I think I found out why I like this picture so much.

The polarity of the red and blue...totally opposite, yet the colours somehow blend the 2 together, making them seem like they are one in the same.

Thank you, I really enjoyed figuring this picture out. You really have a talent!
