Y'know, logically, if Cousie 'realized' that Zev 'cared' (well, he does, but I mean in terms of 'cared and would do what it took to keep you from getting your big buffoon shem self hurt') he would get himself hurt more often, just to get 'nursed' by Zev. When you love someone you'll do just 'bout anything to make it so they do not suffer or get themselves hurt...even if you can't admit that you feel that way. To me, that's a bit of what I see here...even if it was 'just a quicky'.
