With sharp looks and a tongue that can talk you down for days, Celestina can come off as a brash woman who knows no limits with her jibes. Her frankness leads people to believe she is being malicious at times, but to her, she rationalizes in her head that her atittude is justified because she is simply telling the truth; hence, her intentions are simply there to help a person be aware of who they are. She is so confident that she sometimes believe that her opinions are gospel; that she is right and people simply refuse to face facts and to accept who they really are. Girl simply has a habit of reading people so it isn't entirely done out of hate or spite.
Despite that, Celeste is capable of conventionally speaking with people. Rarely does she take exchanges personally and anything honest that is thrown back at her will be well-received if she feels it's the truth. She has a mind that thirsts for information and entertainment. She shows interest in things that will entertain her active brain. She loves hearing gossip, and sometimes would spread some (truthful) herself if she feels it would change the social order of things (good or bad, it doesn't matter).
Though sarcasm may come to her on autopilot towards people she doesn't really care much about, she tends to be kinder towards people who are more meek and timid. Her playfulness are reserved for friends, and harsh insults are for those who trigger her. She tends to get very aggressive towards people who are too full of themselves and would not hesitate to use even the most demeaning words should they not stand down.
Ultimately, though she does have a certain amount of strong loyalty to people, Celestina's success is her priority in life. She isn't afraid to do something she knows people would consider as immoral if it meant she reached her goal because for her, the end alwaysjustifies the means.
▴ BACKGROUND ▾
Celestina was born from the union of a pureblood voodoo priestess and a no-maj. Her father, Robert, had been cursed by a wizard who had been wronged by their family, and it was during the healing ritual that Robert had fallen in love with the woman who had saved his life: Marianne Rose. Persistence had him courting the woman and eventually, they married.
Living in New Orleans had always made Celeste's everyday life colourful. Sure, there were ups and downs, but people around them knew each other like family and the community was very tight-knit. Celebrations and festivals were apparent everywhere. Along with the practises coming from her mother's side, and the lavish living from her father's, Celeste was educated with most of the wonders of both worlds.
Things were good for a few years until something changed in her father. Spending more time with no-majs had him open his eyes to the low, weird reputation people had believing in "magic". He had grown to dislike the oddities of it, and the magical abilities he had seen in his wife was slowly dwindling. His desire to have his family follow his footsteps grew large enough that a rift had grown in between the two. Marianne refused to put down her beliefs, having been deeply attuned to her practises, and Robert's greed for higher power had him arguing against her.
Life was miserable for Celeste since then. Her parents always argued, snark had been a practise in her family and her irritation towards their imperfect relationship had her lashing back at each of them when disagreements arose. They grew to be clinical with each other, always analyzing everyone's movements to see what makes the other tick.
Robert eventually had had enough and moved away to a busier city where he continued to pursue his medical career. It was here that Celeste came to resent her father, who, in the heat of an argument between him and his wife, had insulted magical people right in front of his kids. Hurt overcame Celeste as her magic had only manifested days ago, having been able to revive the dead flowers in their yard with her tears, and ever since then, her respect for her father had slowly dwindled down.
A few years passed and finally, the letter to Ilvermorny arrived. Having chosen to live with her mother and grow their bond further, Celeste decided to take on the wonders of magic in hopes of proving its advantage.
The first few years of school proved to be harder than she had thought. Instinctively Celeste took upon a defensive, strict role due to her determination to learn, pushing out anyone that stood in her way. And although her harsh attitude softened throughout the years as she gained friends, her goals remained the same. She was going to reach the top to prove her father wrong.

- On her best mood, she loves to break into a song number no matter the company, no matter the place.
- Loves writing factual pieces, reports and papers. Her articles are very factual, often showing her truth, with less sugarcoating whatsoever.
- Has a secret habit of gardening- no one knows she does this and oftentimes her acclaimed "sessions" with professors are actually used for time to take care of her plants.
