venice 03 ... from my venice series.seriously ... you can see every oddity life has to offer ...
a nice day.
some warm weather.
they come out.
you build it; they will come.
whilst walkling around with *londn in a gray haze ... as it wasn't quite sunny out ...
... i saw this big-ass pit-like dog fuckin' with this little dog, who i'm sure will grow up to be a big dog ...
but i was thinking, "he's teaching him how to be a mean dog."
perhaps not.
my chi-chi likes to fuck with me.
okay ... how to be an alpha-dog.
whatever.
anyway ... this was in front of a tattoo shop and i politely asked to make a photo of the dog (s).
and i did.
and when i walked back by the dude waved.
all good in venice beach.
was that day!
leica mp. summilux 35/1.4 ASPH (on her first day back from repair) ... 1/250th at f/5.6 ... agfa apx 100. exposed and processed normal. NO, THIS IS NOT A DIGITAL IMAGE.

Another technical question: I noticed these Venice shots all have a resolution of 1100 on the long side and 763 or 793 on the other. Do you choose that yourself, or is that just what happens on DA with those particular scanned shots?
Some of my black and whites don't enlarge very much on DA, so I guess I have to scan at a larger resolution? salon

I really like this one. It's an interesting street scene, and I like seeing it from a lower viewpoint. There are so many out there, but I bet you could do a unique, wicked dog photograph book. You have such a range in your gallery and journal--from the softer shot of $spyed 's setter to this funny pitbull pic. And your own little star, of course! I'm a cat person, but I love your dog photographs because they're compelling photographs.

This is quintessential Venice Beach
And the description rings so true: big, tough guy covered in tattoos, mean dogs on a leisurely lease, but actually quite nice and probably totally whipped by his skinny and tiny girlfriend.
