Description
This is the Deadpool variant cover for Uncanny Avengers #1 they're calling the 'Call Me Maybe variant' coming out in October from Marvel Comics. Penciled in photoshop on a Cintiq, inked on Bristol board and then painted in photoshop.People often ask why I pencil digitally but ink traditionally because they think it would be easier to do both digitally. I do it this way so I can have an original piece of art to sell. A sizable portion of a comic artist's income comes from original art sells and working completely digitally would cut my livelihood considerably. Hope that makes sense.

Traditional inking looks better I think. I love the fact that you took the time to make his boots muddy. I thought it looked weird in the first to stages then when I saw the coloring I was like "ahh."

Great cover! Such a bummer that Uncanny X-Force is getting busted up. The best writing for Deadpool since Joe Kelly and some of the best story telling in the last ten years, period.

Yo ya gots skills, really like your stuff, you anatomy is really controlled, it's very hard to do. I only get excited when I start exaggerating aspects of my anatomy, cus i dont controll my shapes, but when everything's controlled in the work of others, it's awesome, difficult to maintain....

I just pre-ordered this variant yesterday. Hes my favorite character and you're one of you're favorite artists. I have your limited Thor lithograph that I got at C2E2. Now I am just working on purchasing a custom frame, 31x17 isn't exactly a normal size.

Wow, that's a really great idea for pencilling and inking. Do you find it sucessful? (Do you find a difference in quality between inking digitally and traditonally?)
