... all that we love.You live your life, you enjoy it, you're happy and you know it'll end some day and you're fine with it. People die, you're sorry, feel empathy but it's so far away. You're armoured with your happy life, blinded by it. And then it just happens. Life takes something dear and close from you. Your armour breaks and what was unreachable before, now pierces your heart painfully with the sword of sadness and loss.
On February 24th 2015, my dear stepgranny (my stepdad's mum) passed away after a long and merciless battle with cancer. She defeatet it still in young age but two years ago it came back the third time and not even chemo could stop it from entering her whole body. She wa such a strong and lively woman and that's the picture I'll keep in mind, not what cancer had made of her.
I dedicated this picture to her. Donkey's were her favourite animal so the donkey ressembles her. And that dog is my dear Shiba Inu who passed away two years ago also from cancer. I still miss her so much but as loving and loyal she was, she'll wait for me till all eternity. I personally don't believe in heaven but I do believe that our souls don't simply die with our bodies. I don't know what happens, I don't even understand death to be honest, but in one way or the other, love filled souls will find again. Someday. Somewhere. And while waiting for me, my Shiba's soul will accompany and protect my stepgranny. That's the idea behind the picture. Oh, and I tried something new on this one. Even though it doesn't look like it, it took me ages to draw...
Two souls kept in my heart and loved forever.

I know it has been a while, but I'm sorry for your loss. It's beautiful that when something or someone is taken away, that you create something, even if it doesn't really fill the gap. I think it's important, even when people disagree, or they don't know what to do, that everyone still tries to fill up the world with beauty, because even when things can always get worse, there's only more room for "worse" because we can make it just a little better by bringing out the beauty. Only when all beauty is destroyed can it be the very worst of all and can't get worse; but when all beauty is destroyed, there is nothing even left.

Sometimes it makes it sweeter. I was once told that people put salt in caramel to intensify the sweetness. And for some reason I feel that carries on in life. We need some salt in order to taste the true sweetness of life. The sweetness of life is there, but without something to compare it to, it becomes bland.

*tief seufz und mal ordentlich drück* musste mitten im Text anfangen mit weinen, es ist schrecklich wie viele Menschen von dieser Krankheit so zerstört werden.. vorallem wenn diese Menschen so nahe sind... :c mein tiefstes Beleid und Mitgefühl, hoffe es geht mittlerweile wieder etwas das Bild finde ich im übrigen auch super toll und so wunderschön umgesetzt, hab auf'm ersten Blick gesehen das es die süße Megu ist

Da hast du recht. Ich finde das grausam. Langsam werden sie von innen heraus zerstört, leiden, können nicht mal mehr sitzen und man kann nichts tun, asser zusehen.

*ganz feste drück und übern Rücken streichel* brauchst mir nicht danken Sojilein <3 so wie du mir mit Miles geholfen hast damals... will ich mich irgendwie revangieren und dir auch in nicht einfachen Zeiten beistehen, irgendwie - auch wenn es 'nur' Worte sind
Ohja, leider... und vorallem immer in so schlechten Zeitpunkten :c sowas ist so schlimm... Krebs ist schlimm... eigentlich jede Krankheit... :/ ich kenne das leider zu gut, meine Oma ist 2014 im Oktober auch (mehr oder weniger) friendlich eingeschlafen, hatte Gebärmutterhalskrebs - es ging zwar gut weg, aber als sie Schmerzen hatte und es abchecken ließ fanden die Ärzte Metastasen (kA wie man die schreibt x_x) und Leben bestand nur noch aus Chemo, Tabletten etc. Ich bin immer noch dankbar, dass wir Frieden schließen konnten paar Wochen zuvor. *leise seufz* (sorry für den mega Text Dx' ich altes Sabbermaul)
Das ist schonmal schön zu hören dass es momentan wieder besser ist :c <3 und ja, das stimmt - und dort wo sie jetzt ist trifft sie bestimmt die anderen wieder
