Description
Had the chance to work with the great Brian Pulido recently on a couple of Lady Death covers. This is the first of them, and it was a blast to do my own interpretation of such an iconic and well-known character. Original inspiration was the classic composition of a bikini babe reclining on a motorcycle--thought it would be fun and thematically appropriate to place her on an outsize skull instead.One more in this series:

I try. With pinups, I think you fail if it comes off sleazy in any way, so I always shoot for a sense of whimsy or strength to get away from that.
