Description
This is another oldie.Second attempt to my Lip-less Mermaids.
It is rather strange how much work is sometimes needed to draw attention of the one you love. How many various colours you need to wear, so you would get noticed.
No matter how interesting you actually are.
Or how smart you are.
Or how good you look.
And sometimes, the eyes of the Ocean are focused on you, but the one you want to look, still cannot see.

I'm afraid that fishing in Vistula river, which flows through Cracow, could be quite risky. You never know what can be hidden beneath the poisoned waves

It is pretty nice alright, but I don't believe that anything caught in it would be edible...
Though that's quite possible that it would glow in the dark

I JUST LOOKED UP SOME INFORMATION AND PICTURES OF THAT RIVER, AND I SAW NOTHING THAT LOOKS LIKE "POISON." I SAW WHAT LOOKS TO BE A FAIRLY HEALTHY WATER SYSTEM WITH LUSH VEGITATION ALONG IT'S BANKS. I SPEND MOST OF MY TIME ON THE PEARL RIVER HERE IN MISSISSIPPI. IT'S WHERE WE GET ALL OF OUR WATER FROM. NOT ONLY DO I SWIM, FISH, AND BOAT ON IT, I ALSO DRINK STRAIGHT OUT OF IT. I'M SURE THE FISH IN THE VISTULA ARE FINE.

Well... I think that since being a mutant isn't a thing you actually CHOOSE to be, we should accept them as they are.
Which doesn't mean I should eat them.
And even a gun put to my head wouldn't force me to drink from Vistula in Cracow!

YOU'D HAVE TO PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD TO KEEP ME 'OUT' OF THE PEARL RIVER. THE PEARL DRAINS MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN HAVE OF MISSISSIPPI. THEN ALOT OF OUR MAJOR RIVERS FLOW INTO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER WHICH FORMS ALMOST ALL OF OUR BORDER TO THE WEST. THE PEARL, HOWEVER FLOWS TO THE OCEAN ITSELF. EVERYTHING BUILT ANYWHERE NEAR THE BEACHES ON MISSISSIPPI'S COAST LINE WAS DESTROYED BY THE LAST BIG HURRICANE, KATRINA. ALL OF MY FAVORITE SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS ARE GONE. FOR THE 2 WORST HURRICANES TO HIT THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT IN RECORDED HISTORY, MISSISSIPPI RECEIVED THE WORST DAMAGE FROM BOTH. IT'S OKAY; THEY ARE DOING ALRIGHT DOWN THERE NOW, REBUILDING.

YEAH, I LOVE MISSISSIPPI. HALF OF MY ROOTS ARE IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI AND THE OTHER HALF ARE IN WESTERN KENTUCKY, A LAND TO THE NORTH, FURTHER UP THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

I think I actually managed to achieve balance between the story and the detail - it's quite hard in a piece so detailed, not to draw attention to the lines only, instead of the feeling or the story they should create.

The hair was nothing. The REAL pain was the scarf she wears...
I simply love doing every single scale, every little wave, every part of it ( which doesn't mean I don't swear and curse each moment on the way...
