Yeah, I know - I haven't posted much this year. Especially on this profile since my commissions are mostly digital lately... speaking of which: I'm currently neck deep in book covers again so I won't post another pic here for a while.
SO, for someone who use to hate pastels I've really started loving them. I bought some pencil pastels too and I'm thrilled with them!
Pastel pencils A3, warm gray, sugar-paper 13h maybe? Bought stock pic for reference.Inspired by rain and oil on tar roads. I've been wanting to draw that iridescent effect for ages.
I can stare at abstract colors and light effects for ages!

The concept is fantastic and you executed the idea very well. I get the feeling she's trying to pull away, but the smile on her face shows she is still drawn into the forbidden love. It's great to hearΒ you have been getting so many commissions. I miss seeing all your incredible work, but it's for a good reason you aren't as active on here.

This looks really good. I like the textures of the hair. The coloring looks good, I like the blues and grays of the boy and how it contrasts with the more vivid colors of the girl's hair. Wonderful work with this picture.

Wow, this is beautiful! I love the concept behind it and it's very well done. I love how the woman is so pretty & I adore her hair. The only thing that could possibly be wrong with it is that maybe 'water's' middle finger could have been a little longer, since it looks about the same length as his index finger. Great piece!
